2025 Raider Summer Experience

Title of Position: Program Lead (Certificated)

Duration of Position: June 23-July 17, 2025

Supervisor’s Title: Summer Administrator

Positions Supervised: Summer Instructional Assistants

Exemption Status: Non-Exempt

FTE: PT, M-Th, 4 hours per day

Pay Range: Per CBA

Purpose of Position: Responsible for carrying out goals and objectives of the 2025 Raider Summer Experience, plan and facilitate the literacy and math program, and adjust daily as needed.

We are looking for program leads for the following groups:

· K-4 (1 position)

· 5-8 (1 position)

Program Operation Hours:

· 8:00 am – 12:00 pm, Monday-Thursday

· Possible prep hours prior to the start of program

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in related fields or experience working with youth, parents, school personnel and/or provider agencies. Valid teaching certificated is preferred.

Experience: One or more years’ experience in the classroom or out-of-school time setting working with children.

License: Must pass a valid Washington State background check, updated 1st Aid/CPR Certification

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

· Enthusiasm and works well with children

· Experience with or willingness to learn about areas related to the program theme: literacy and math

· Able to facilitate social-emotional learning

· Demonstrated willingness to work with others

· Equipped with effective classroom management skills

· Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills

· Produce age appropriate and culturally relevant lesson plans

· Demonstrates knowledge of and skill with computer programs and basic technology

Performance Expectations:

· Comply with school district policies

· Work with other staff to design and facilitate summer literacy and math program for students

· Complete goals, objectives, lesson plans and end of the summer report
